Salesforce AI reporting
Ask questions about your Salesforce data in plain English: pipeline, opportunities, accounts, contacts and activity. Answers can set the CRM beside your ledger and your other systems, and every figure links to the Salesforce record it came from. Synaptic Intelligence only reads.
What you can ask about your Salesforce data
- What is in the pipeline for this quarter, by stage?
- What was our win rate over the last two quarters?
- Which open opportunities have a close date that has already passed?
- Which of our largest accounts have had no activity in the last 60 days?
- Who are our contacts at a given account, and what happened there most recently?
It reads the objects and fields your own org defines, custom ones included, and checks their names before it queries them.
Salesforce beside your ledger
Sales says we booked more this quarter than Finance recognised. Why?
- Sales & Ops reads this quarter's closed-won opportunities from Salesforce.
- Finance reads revenue for the quarter from your ledger: Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or NetSuite.
- Revenue is Finance's word, so the answer takes revenue from the ledger, labels Salesforce's figure as bookings, shows both and says what the difference suggests, such as deals closed this quarter and invoiced in the next.
That question consults two departments and reconciles their answers, so it costs four credits. A question only Sales & Ops needs costs one.
How you connect Salesforce
Two steps for a Salesforce admin first, once per org: install the Synaptic Intelligence package, and switch on Salesforce's own read-only access for it. Both are on the card, with the install link. This needs Enterprise Edition or above.
Then click Connect with Salesforce and sign in. It reads as the person who connected it: their profile, field-level security and sharing decide what is visible. Salesforce's read-only access cannot write, and the connection has to answer a real request before Sales & Ops uses it.
For IT and security: the exact permissions
An External Client App, carried into your org by an unlocked package, requesting only mcp_api and refresh_token. That token reaches Salesforce's hosted read-only server and not the REST API. The admin enables it under Setup → API Catalog → MCP Servers → platform/sobject-reads.
What can be read: an object's schema, one SOQL query, one SOSL search, and recent and related records. If your org also runs Sage People, its HR objects stay with HR and Sales & Ops is refused them.
Which department it feeds
Salesforce feeds your Sales & Ops department: pipeline, bookings and customers. Sales & Ops owns the word customer, so when the ledger counts customers differently, the answer says whose is the real one.
Each person sees Sales & Ops' answers only if their job title allows it.
Plans
Each system you connect counts once. Starter and the free trial include three connected systems, Growth five, and Team, Business and Enterprise as many as you need. Reading answers is free for everyone; asking uses credits. See pricing.
Other systems
- Xero
- QuickBooks Online
- Sage Accounting
- Oracle NetSuite
- Every integration, and the full list of systems
Thinking of connecting ChatGPT or Claude to Salesforce yourself? Build or buy: what it involves. And for why two systems can both be right about one figure, why HR says 41 and payroll says 43.
